The Powell Street Festival, celebrating Japanese Canadian art, culture and heritage, is also on this weekend (Sat. & Sun.) at Oppenheimer Park: http://www.powellstreetfestival.com/. It’s always a lot of fun with great food, entertainment, crafts and more. First timers won’t want to miss the omikoshi (portable shrine) on Saturday or the Sumo tournament on Sunday.
